The Music & Social Development lab is focused on the influence of music on children's social and emotional capacities, such as empathy, cooperation, helping and generosity. In addition, we're exploring the specific role of behavioral synchrony in children's social and emotional development and its potential in reducing or preventing conflicts and prejudices as well as generating better communication, social attitudes and pro-social behavior between individuals and groups. Research takes place both in the field (school, communal and therapeutic centers) and the lab.
