Music for the Light

COBRA is the name of the person who writes the blog "The Portal." This person serves as a spokesperson for the Resistance Movement and is a member of the Forces of Light. 

The "Forces of Light" refers to a coalition of benevolent extraterrestrial beings working to liberate Earth and humanity from the control of the dark forces (see the linked page for details).

The name "COBRA" comes from "COmpression BReAkthrough," a code name.

"Compression Breakthrough" refers to a high-dimensional physical energy that will break through the veil (the matrix) surrounding the quarantined Earth. This project is commonly known as "The Event."

On this site, people who share the same intent as the Forces of Light and who act independently based on the information in "The Portal" are referred to as "COBRA-aligned lightworkers." I provide music free of charge to these people.

Q. Can anyone use this music for free?

Only people who meet both of the following conditions can use it for free.

• You are a "COBRA-aligned" lightworker who acts based on information from "The Portal."

• Your intended use is non-profit.

Q. What exactly counts as "non-profit use"?

"Non-profit use" refers to activities that are not intended to generate revenue.

Examples that are OK:

• Use in videos or on social media

• Use as background music at gatherings that charge an admission or participation fee

• Use as background music in a store

• Performances at events or workshops*

Examples that are NOT OK:

• Selling audio recordings that use this music

• Selling sheet music based on this music

• Selling any other content that uses this music without prior authorization

If you post or archive a video of a performance that used this music (for example, on social media), please credit "Nancy Alcyone," just as you would for video or background-music use.

*Note that selling an audio or video recording of a performance is considered a sale of content that uses this music, so please be sure to consult me in advance if you wish to do so.

Q. Can this music be used in commercial projects?

Unauthorized use of this music in for-profit projects is strictly prohibited. (This includes use in media such as TV or radio, as well as use for advertising purposes.)
If you wish to use it, please always contact me in advance.

Q. Are there any required procedures when using this music?

When you use this music in your own work and publish it (such as in videos or social media posts), please always credit "Nancy Alcyone" to avoid any misunderstandings.
If possible, please also include a link to the original music video.
I also recommend downloading and keeping the "FREE DISTRIBUTION LICENSE" that is distributed together with the music.

Q. Can projects that use this music be introduced on this site?

Yes. Reporting your project to me is entirely optional and is not required. However, if you do contact me, I will introduce it on this site as a record of a project that has been granted permission to use the music.

Q. Is it okay to just enjoy the music I downloaded for personal use?

Yes, of course. No special procedure is required for personal listening. I would be happy for you to enjoy the music freely, without any hesitation.
If you ever feel like it, I would be glad to hear your thoughts or impressions about the music.

If you plan to publish or use the music in some form — for example, in a video or as background music at an event — please also check the other FAQ items, such as the scope of non-profit use and the required procedures.

Q. Is there a 432 Hz version of the distributed music?

No. Currently, only 440 Hz versions are available.
It is technically simple to mechanically convert 440 Hz music to 432 Hz with a single button press, but I do not do this.
Let me explain why, even though it will take a bit of space.

Each instrument has its own range, expressive qualities, and frequency band in which it performs best — for example, a range where it sounds clear, stands out, or sounds rich.
As an example, let's say the beautiful main melody played by a trumpet is "Melody A," and the piano accompaniment supporting it is "Melody B."
If you lower both A and B together to 432 Hz, the following can happen:

• The brilliance of Melody A's main melody is reduced, making it sound more subdued, and the trumpet no longer stands out.

• The 432 Hz version of Melody B's piano part shifts into a range where the piano sounds especially rich, so the accompaniment ends up standing out too much.

This kind of "swap phenomenon" can occur, changing the overall impression of the piece.
Of course, this does not apply to every instrument or every piece of music.
However, the more different instruments are used within a single piece, the more difficult it tends to become to make these adjustments — and the difficulty increases multiplicatively, not just additively.

Most modern music is composed and performed using A4 = 440 Hz as the reference pitch.
A piece written for instruments tuned to 440 Hz sounds most harmonious and expresses its character most fully when performed at that pitch.
In other words, even for the same piece, changing the reference pitch to 432 Hz can require completely rethinking the instrumentation and harmonic structure from scratch, although this is not true in every case.

In addition, people's listening environments vary widely.
Some people care deeply about their home audio setup; others are content simply listening on a smartphone; and some people listen to music almost exclusively in their cars.
Given this range of lifestyles and playback environments, the frequency range that sounds pleasant to the human ear across all types of speakers is actually quite limited.
Because of this, when a finished piece of music is mechanically shifted down to 432 Hz, the frequencies that were carefully balanced to sound pleasant also shift down together, which tends to throw off the overall tonal balance.

I have not yet developed a technique that solves this problem while still allowing me to create 432 Hz music that I would be satisfied with.
Personally, I feel that being able to express the same creativity at 432 Hz would require a fundamental shift in my own physical and sensory approach.
At the same time, I do enjoy listening to 432 Hz music myself — there is a real appeal in the way the sound seems to soak into the body without resistance.
If the time comes when I feel technically ready, I would like to reconsider creating music at 432 Hz.
