The Museekers Project is an artist-led initiative founded by conductor Tang Wing Kwan, dedicated to expanding opportunities for musical exploration, collaboration, and artistic practice.
The project brings together performance and education through concerts, workshops, and collaborative musical activities. By creating platforms for musicians at different stages of their development, Museekers seeks to foster a culture of curiosity, leadership, and shared musical discovery.
The Museekers Project
The Museekers Project grew from a reflection on the nature of conducting education and artistic practice.
Unlike many other musical disciplines, conducting is an art form that is both highly visible and relatively rare in practice. Opportunities to conduct ensembles are often limited, and young musicians are frequently expected to present polished results without sufficient space to experiment, learn, and grow through experience.
The Museekers Project seeks to address this gap by creating environments where musical leadership and collaboration can be explored in practice. Through workshops, rehearsals, and concert performances, the project encourages musicians to approach music-making as a process of discovery — where learning, experimentation, and artistic dialogue are valued as essential parts of the creative journey.
At its core, Museekers is about opening doors: creating opportunities for musicians to seek, explore, and share music together.
Museekers Project
Museekers Project
