ABOUT MUSE & MUSE Live!

MUSE is a half-hour monthly television show about original arts, artists, and the creative process, since 1996. The first episode aired on August 6, 1996 on continental cablevision public access TV. The show aired across approximately 250 susburbs surrounding Chicago, and once a month in Los Angeles on Delphi. In 2004 when the digital revolution kicked in, we took the show off the air for digitizing and updates.

MUSE Live! is the new live-audience version of MUSE.  MUSE Live! was introduced in 2014 after many fan letter requests came in asking to sit in the studio and watch the taping of the show. Since we did not have the space in the studio at that time, we decided to bring the show to the live audiences in other venues, tape the 1 hour show there, and then edit it  down to 1/2 hour for broadcast.

The live-audience show takes place on a Thursday, in the middle of the month at 7pm. It is one hour in length and features 3-4 fresh original artists each month, one of which is a musical act. The show's format is part showcase and part interview. We feature original artists across all mediums at various levels of accomplishment.

The show's host Barb Sorensen also tours internationally for her original music. While on the road, she also interviews other artist for the "road" version of MUSE Live!

In February 2024 the show was taken out of public view to  work open it behind the scenes and to find a new permanent studio.  We keopt on recording new artists behind the scenes.

While we don't yet have our permanent location, we arehappy to be in a new space for the next year (2026-2027) - Busse's Flowers 3445 Kirchoff Rd., Rolling Meadows, IL.

Thank you for your love and appreciation of this show, and attendance since 1996. We enjoyed meeting all the wonderful artists and audience. We look forward to seeing you at our next episode of the show each month.

Sincerely,

Barb Kronau-Sorensen - Producer/Host/Artist - MUSE & MUSE Live! c/o Emerald City Music Productions, Inc.
