MURS has achieved big things in a small period of time. Here’s a brief summary of what we achieved in our founding first months. MURS:
Grew to 126 members
Co-hosted an undergraduate research conference with MacqPsych: MacqPsych x MURS Conference for Undergraduate Research in Psychology (MCURP 2025)
Supported over 18 undergraduate research presentations, including during labs and at the Australasian Conference of Undergraduate Research (ACUR) 2025 and MCURP 2025
Conducted over 13 interviews, including Humans of MURS, MCURP Wrapped interviews, and vox pops at ACUR 2025
Joining MURS opens doors to network with staff, students, and external stakeholders. Our team is diverse and features undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and graduates. We also share strong connections with staff and academics at Macquarie University.
Joining MURS provides valuable opportunities to develop transferable skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, event coordination, research, and much more. As a member of the MURS team, you will be supported and encouraged as you gain hands-in experience that strengths your career prospects – particularly in research!
As a valued member of the MURS team, you will have the opportunity to receive references from senior team members, such as the President, to assist you in accessing future career opportunities.
