Multimodal Representation Learning and Clustering(MuReC ‘25)
In conjunction with MMASIA 2025, December 9 – 12, 2025, Grand Millenium Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia .
Workshop Overview
The MuReC workshop addresses the growing challenge of extracting robust, transferable representations from complex multimodal data, spanning text, images, graphs, audio, and structured attributes. It focuses on the synergy between unsupervised/self-supervised representation learning and clustering, aiming to uncover latent structures, compress information, and enhance interpretability in large-scale, heterogeneous datasets.
The workshop emphasizes latent factor models, multi-view learning, and self-supervised techniques, particularly their integration into graph neural networks, large language models, and advanced clustering frameworks.
Key themes include:
Unsupervised and self-supervised feature learning for multimodal and multi-view data
Novel clustering algorithms for heterogeneous, high-dimensional, and noisy datasets
Graph-based, spectral, probabilistic, and factorization approaches (e.g., NMF, NMTF)
Applications in information retrieval, NLP, bioinformatics, recommender systems, and computer vision
Scalability, anomaly detection, and robustness under sparsity or noise
By gathering researchers and practitioners from machine learning, data mining, network science, and information retrieval, MuReC aims to advance theory and applications, foster cross-domain collaboration, and highlight emerging trends at the intersection of multimodal representation learning and clustering.
The workshop is co-located with the MMASIA 2025, December 9 – 12, 2025, Grand Millenium Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia .
