A non-canon installment of the Blakeuza series for RGG 8/Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and a semi-official sequel / companion mod to Blakeuza 7.

Following a decade since Kazuki Murasaki's retirement from his rivalry with Blake Izayoi, the Murasaki Family and Murasaki Construction have fallen into total collapse, unable to continue supporting themselves and forcing their shutdown. With no money or hope left, Murasaki is forced to live in exile with Hamjima and Mister Expo.

But with the aftermath of the Nele Island incident in Hawaii and the foiling of Masataka Ebina's horrific yakuza genocide across international waters, the mess of the Second Great Dissolution rears its ugly head back into Gensokyo, the land where all things forgotten are spirited away...

And I guess Blake wants Murasaki to be responsible for this shit... IDFK.

I made up this entire mod premise, none of this shit is canon, just play the damn thing and have fun!

OFFICIAL MOD MANUAL

Version History (For The Curious):

Alpha Version (Sort Of Inaccessible Media Rather Than Lost)

Dating back to October 11th, 2025, this is the only existing version prior to the 2026 release.

It only existed for the sake of recording a video of the Chapter 12 Impregnable Triangle fight with the following character models:

Blake Izayoi over Kiryu
Sakuya Izayoi over Seonhee
Remlia Scarlet over Saeko
Youmu Konpaku over Zhao (Genderswapped)
Meiling Hong over Nanba (Genderswapped)
Murasaki over Majima
Taiga Hamjima over Saejima
Mister Expo over Daigo

However, this version of the mod obviously won't be released... Because why would you want an even shittier version of an at-least-mediocre mod that already exists, and is a lot more expanded as well as cleaner in presentation now?

Version 1.0 (The Real Deal)

Proper work on Blakeuza 8 started on October 7th... to October 10th, 2026.

Yes, really. That includes the modelling, UI texture editing, .bin file editing in db, you name it.

Some of the biggest notable changes include:

Murasaki's models using PYIH Majima's updated and higher quality face and hand textures
Custom character profiles in the menu for the Blakeuza cast instead of replacing the OG cast
All of the goddamn UI textures
Giving Mister Expo most of his Nishida voicelines (sourced from PYIH) over Daigo Dojima's voicebank
Replacing the memory images in the 3 Jimas' Resurgence phases with screencaps and renders of Murasaki, Hamjima and Expo (including those used in the official Murasaki Everywhere fanfiction!)

Some assets, of course, were reused from my other mod projects, most notably:

The custom maid dress used for Blakeuza Kiwami 2's Sakuya Izayoi over Sayama (kitbashed K2 hostess maid costume and Y7 Housekeeper outfit by my good friend Fat CJ)
Mister Expo (Nishida)'s face over Daigo's from Blakeuza Gaiden
A few music files from Blakeuza 7 LITE (Reign as Murasaki's Y7 boss theme for his Resurgence phase; Ezel-Ash's remix of Luna Dial as Blake's Y7 boss theme for Dragon's Resurgence)
