Principal Investigator
Vignesh did his PhD from IIT Madras and postdoctoral training from University of California San Diego. His current research interests are in the area of inhibitory control of actions and thoughts, perception engineering, and brain computer interfaces to develop novel strategies for cognitive control. Besides that he enjoys watching sports, supports Liverpool Football Club, karaoke and chess.
PhD
Arpit has completed his bachelor's and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering. He is working on understanding the neuroscience of action control and attention modulation, aiming to develop computational models investigating action control. In his free time, he enjoys learning about spirituality-meditation, and spending time in nature with friends and family. (Joint Supervision with Dr. Dipanjan Roy)
MS by Research
Shreya has a B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Her current research, focused on Multisensory integration and Speech perception can be traced to her fascination for AI and understanding how multiple brain areas harmonize with each other to make sense of the world we live in and perceive. Apart from this, she also holds a keen interest in SNN, BCI & affect of climate change in neurobiology of humans. Additionally, Shreya also spends her time as a member of WWN-IBRO and NCWG. When not occupied by neuroscience, her brain seeks the company of stars, music and Kdramas. If she's not lost in the pages of a good book, you may find her writing poems as her way to wind down. (Joint Supervision with Dr. Dipanjan Roy)
Shaheen has done his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. His research interest lies in exploring Brian Computer Interfaces. He is currently working on BCI based novel sixth finger as part of his MS project. Apart from neuroscience and BCI he loves watching football specially Liverpool FC matches. Exploring new skills is also his one of the hobbies. (Joint Supervision with Dr. Bhivraj Suthar)
M.Tech
Vikas did his undergraduate studies in Computer Science Engineering. His current research is focused on developing a Virtual Reality (VR) tool that could potentially identify individuals at risk of developing Parkinson's disease. He aims to use VR technology for predicting the likelihood of the motor symptoms in Parkinson's. His interests extends beyond technology; he is also a nature lover and a food enthusiast and play a supportive role in keeping him refreshed and motivated in his academic pursuits.
Mihir has completed his bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering. His current research focuses on integrating BCIs with Virtual Reality focusing on action completion based rehabilitation for stroke patients. He has a hobby of writing and watching stand-up poetry and also watching Anime/Movies/Sitcoms. When away from the screen, one may find him playing Badminton or Volleyball.
