Genetic Engineering
We are interested in genetic engineering utilizing a variety of tools, including the CRISPR-Cas system. Our research is focused on developing tools for precise gene editing using Base Editors and Prime Editors, as well as for large-scale genome design, and applying these advancements toward therapeutic applications.
Aging and Cellular Senescence
Our laboratory is dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms of human aging. We are particularly interested in the epigenetic, physiological, and structural changes associated with cellular senescence. To investigate these changes, we are employing advanced research methodologies, including CRISPR screening systems.
