Value Network (a Multitude Project creation)
Discovery Network (a Multitude Project creation)
Structure: There are different structures of open enterprises. Some of them are centralized, others are more distributed.
SENSORICA, a value network (a Multitude Project creation)
Discovery Network (a Multitude Project creation)
BetterMeans - this model did not succeed very well.
Structure: This is a matchmaking tool, matching solution seekers with solution providers. The system is centered around the solution seeker. Some of these systems let the solution seeker contact directly the solution provider, others mediate this interaction. The internal market is usually biased in the favor of the solution seeker.
This is actually a way to harvest the masses, giving a lot of control to companies and corporations who are the solution seekers. Some crowdsourcing sites are about social projects, and rewards are not necessarily monetary. See Innocentive for instance.
Some of these initiatives are in line with the multitude movement values, in the sense that they can justly reward creative and hard working individuals according to the value they create, without regard to who the person is, where the person comes from, diplomas, affiliation to institutions, etc. The individual is empowered because he/she is rewarded based on merits. The problem is that some of these systems do NOT justly reward contributors. The corporation can pay a certain amount for a solution, turn around and make thousands of times more profits on its market implementation. The value created by the solution is not proportionally redistributed. The solution provider will not be part of the venture created by his/her solution.
Another disadvantage is that deals tend to be settled at very low costs, because of the competition between solution providers, which come from all over the world. An engineer based in India can afford to ask 10 times less for a solution than someone living in Germany for instance.
We propose to spin the crowdsourcing concept on its head and to create a system centered on the creator. See the other concept HERE.
