Privacy Policy for Multi_Software
Multi_Software built the MIUI 14 Update Info app as a commercial app. This service is provided by Multi_Software and is intended for use as is.
This page explains what information the app uses, and how third parties may process data if you use the app.
What this app does
MIUI 14 Update Info is a guide. It helps you check update readiness (battery, storage, and security patch), see whether a Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO model is on a published eligible list, and open your phone’s official system-update screen.
The app does not download, install, or provide MIUI or HyperOS system packages. It is not an official Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO service.
Information we do not ask you to type in
The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or a user account. There is no sign-in.
Information read on your phone
To show readiness and device guidance, the app reads information that already exists on the device, including:
• Brand, model, and marketing name
• Android version and security-patch date
• Battery level and device temperature, when the system provides them
• Free storage
• Whether you are on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or offline
This information is used to display guidance inside the app. We do not operate our own server that stores this device profile. If you tap Copy device details, the text is placed only on your clipboard. It is not sent to us.
Theme, checklist, and onboarding choices are stored locally on the device.
Ads
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob (banners, native ads, and interstitials). AdMob and its partners may collect or receive:
• Advertising ID
• IP address
• Device and app information
• Ad interactions
Ads are requested only after the applicable consent check. In regions where Google’s consent form is required (such as the EEA and the UK), you can accept, refuse, or later change ad choices from Help, then Manage consent, when that option is shown.
If you buy Remove Ads, the app stops requesting ads on that Google account. Google Play still keeps the purchase record so the app can restore the ad-free state.
In-app purchase
Remove Ads is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your card number, billing address, or payment credentials. Google processes the payment under the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Play Terms of Service: https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The app only learns whether the Remove Ads product is owned, pending, or not owned, and saves that status on the device so ads can stay off.
Analytics
The app includes Google Analytics for Firebase. Analytics and ad-related storage are off until consent allows them. When collection is allowed, Firebase may receive anonymous usage events such as which screen was opened, whether the paywall was opened, and whether a purchase started, succeeded, was canceled, or failed. These events are used to understand how the app is used and to improve it. They are not used to build an account profile with your name or email, because we do not collect those.
Third-party services
The app uses:
• Google Play Services: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• AdMob: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
• Google Analytics for Firebase: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google Play Billing: https://payments.google.com/payments/apis-secure/get_legal_document?ldo=0&ldt=privacynotice
Those providers process data under their own policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Log data
If the app or a third-party library reports an error, log data may include your IP address, device model, operating-system version, app configuration, and the time of the error. This is handled by the third-party tools above, not by a server we run.
Cookies and identifiers
This app is not a website and does not set browser cookies itself. AdMob and Firebase may use advertising IDs or similar identifiers. You can limit ad personalization in your phone’s Google settings, and you can use the in-app consent options where they are available.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, contact us and we will take appropriate steps with that provider.
Security
Purchase status and settings stay on your device and with Google Play. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links
The app may open external pages, such as this privacy policy or system settings. Those pages are not operated by us. Please read their policies separately.
Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page.
This policy is effective as of 2026-09-22.
