ABLT-1, IIT (BHU) Varanasi
This workshop aims to provide a platform for interaction for computational solid mechanics and material science researchers with a specific research focus on finite element-based averaging and multiscale methods. The activity group communicates expert knowledge to young researchers in homogenization and multiscale simulation methods. This workshop, ‘Multiscale Modeling in Solid Mechanics,’ organized by IIT(BHU) Varanasi, will give a specific overview of analytical, experimental, and numerical methods. They can account for microstructural information and be applied for the investigation and modeling of materials, highlighting the actual state of the art in the field. Lectures for the two-days workshop will introduce the class of problems and highlight state of the art in the field.n they are used to predict the response of structures using computational tools.
Main Topics:
Continuum theories for mechanics
Micro-mechanics and methods of homogenization
Computational Methods & Multi-scale Modelling
This workshop is intended for research scholars, industry personal, scientists, postdoctoral fellow, and faculty members from the institutes/universities/research labs who are working on computational mechanics, numerical modeling and simulations, and finite element simulation tools for a wide variety of applications.
