Chieh Han Lu is an assistant professor at the Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering at NTNU. After obtaining his Ph.D. at the Department of Physics, NTNU, he did his postdoctoral training at RCAS, Academia Sinica, under Dr. Bi-Chang Chen and Peilin Chen, developing a large-scale super-resolution microscope. Later, he joined Farese & Walther Lab at Harvard University to apply his microscopy knowledge into cell biology application.
Though the backbone of his training is based on physics science, most of Dr. Chieh Han's career was developed in collaboration with biologists. His research philosophy centers on using technology to explore new scientific frontiers, as evident in his collaborative efforts with scientists from diverse disciplines.
