Dialogue: Discussions on regional opportunities for serving multilingual individuals.
Event Coordination: Notifications and RSVPs for our quarterly Coffee Chats and other network gatherings.
Direct Questions: Feel free to post questions to the group seeking advice or contacts from your peers.
To ensure the list remains a valuable and focused resource for all members, please adhere to the following guidelines when posting:
Focus on the Mission: All posts must be relevant to serving second-language learning communities in the Mid-South (Memphis area).
Maintain Professionalism: Be respectful, constructive, and courteous in all interactions. Personal attacks or unproductive arguments will not be tolerated.
Avoid Excessive Advertising: Posts should share resources and opportunities (like grants or official events), but the list should not be used for direct, repeated, or unrelated commercial solicitation.
Use Clear Subject Lines: Start your email subject with a concise descriptor (e.g., [Question], [Resource], [Event]) so members can quickly filter messages.
Mind Your Replies: When replying to a group email, be mindful if your response should go to just the original sender or to the entire group (Reply All).
Membership is open to individuals and organizations actively serving second-language learning communities in the Mid-South.
