Paul Strozier and his wife of 35 years, Mariann, are both originally from Georgia and have served congregations in Florida, Alabama and Ohio. Paul is the youngest of four siblings whose parents reside in Macon, Georgia. He has a Master of Arts in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, and his Bachelor's was from Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama. His education focused on biblical studies, organizational leadership, mentoring, and personal development, with additional background in theater and communications.
Paul and Mariann have one son, Andrew, and a dear daughter-in-law, Amy. Andrew and Amy live in Dayton, Ohio with their children Jaxon and Minnie. In Paul’s words, “These grandkids are the light of our lives and we are hopelessly crazy about them.”
Jerry received his Bachelor of Arts as well as his Master of Divinity degrees from Anderson University in Anderson, IN. He began his life after academia with a three-year term of service with the American Friends Service Committee, the Society of Friends' social action arm. Spending most of his career in the financial services industry coupled upon retirment with fifteen years as a Sinclair adjunct faculty member, he now continues his lifelong committment to building bridges rather than walls by serving on the MCA board. While all around us we witness the costs of an acquisitive society, he believes a lot of things are contagious, including hope and generosity. With a thank you to the Reverend Eston Williams, "At the end of the day, I'd rather be excluded for who I include than included for who I exclude."
Julie McDaniel, Sinclair’s Student Success Librarian, lives and works on her Champaign County family farm. She believes that she lives out her spirituality in relationship with other people and that being ready to listen and seeking to understand is exercising her love muscle. She looks forward to the opportunity to learn about other perspectives and beliefs through the work of the MultiFaith Campus Ministry Alliance based at Sinclair. In 2025, she is trying to understand the place and role of meditation in her own life and is coming to appreciate the rhythms of life that are more noticeable when she takes time to stop.
As she puts it, "My multifaith experience so far has been in Christian denominations: I grew up in the Disciples of Christ (Christian Church); married into the American Baptist and am now worshipping at a Vineyard Church. I have been part of the staff at Sinclair for almost 8 years as a Student Success Librarian. I bring more than 35 years of experience as a librarian to my work, and I have a lifetime as a farm kid and now, farm wife. My husband and I were and continue to be blessed to be able to live and farm in Champaign County with our two children. Our family also includes one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law and one grandson."
