Description
The worksheets, or entire journal, is intended for refugee teens that are entering a new environment. Wether its a new school, new city, new country, and so on.
Worksheets are each intended to allow teens to reflect on their own emotions, and experiences in a less stressful way, while learning new coping mechanism. Refugee teens being switched to a new environment, especially one like a new school, can be very overwhelming and stressful (Lepore, 2015). Since many of these teens are being pushed to learn about their new environment quickly they aren't allowed time to reflect on their own feelings, and experiences, causing burnout, anxiety, and stress.
The worksheets can be used individually, or can be put together as a journal for students. There are a total of ten worksheet activities. Some activities like "I Am Poem" and "Letter to My Future Self", encourage students to reflect on their lives, and share more about themselves. And other activities like "The Coping Toolbox" and "Draw Your Shield", Allow teens to find healthy coping mechanism, and healthy ways to manage feelings like stress, and anxiety.
