Prof Jan Hardman is professor of Language Education at the University of York.
Jan Hardman is Professor of Language Education at the University of York, U.K. Her research focuses on classroom discourse and interaction, dialogic pedagogy and teacher education across all phases of education. She has worked on a range of international research projects and published widely on classroom talk, dialogic pedagogy and teacher professional development. More recently, she was involved in a large-scale study of a teacher professional development intervention designed to improve the quality of classroom talk, learning and student attainment in primary schools serving socially deprived areas of England. Informed by her research, Jan contributes to staff professional development courses on teaching and learning in schools and higher education.

She is also a Primary and Lower Secondary Cambridge trainer for Global Perspectives and other subjects. .
Fera Ridwan is a regional Cambridge Trainer in Physics and has mentored teachers in Australia and Indonesia. She currently leads the Assessment and Training Unit at a Cambridge Islamic school in Indonesia which facilitates professional learning workshops, mentoring support and Cambridge PDQ internally as well as to schools across Indonesia.

Alison Twiner is a research associate at Hughes Hall University of Cambridge, and the Open University, with research interests in how we make meanings out of educational interactions.
Nichola is a consultant trainer who has taught school mathematics 11-19, undergraduates, and new and established maths teachers in the UK and internationally. She designs training and maths curriculum materials. She’s worked with Cambridge to develop and deliver training on new maths curricula. Her doctoral research focused on the language and reasoning of low attaining learners. She’s passionate about inclusion, and supporting development of the mathematical thinking for all students
Abie is a PhD candidate in Education. She completed her MPhil in Second Language Education at the University of Cambridge, where she was a Doris Zimmern HKU-Cambridge Hughes Hall Scholar. Her research interests are higher-order thinking skills, the role of oracy in second language education, and collaborative learning.
Zijian Xia is the local trainer for Cambridge IGCSE and A Level mathematics and chemistry. He has rich experience in teaching students with English as a Second Language.
Cristiane is a Cambridge trainer for Global Perspectives who taught GP during the pilot phase of the subject. This experience showed her the value of teaching future skills at primary and lower secondary, and enabling teachers to do this confidently is her aim as a trainer. She has also worked in Higher Education creating co-curricular courses focused on academic skills and employability development, which she believes are analogous to GP.
Patricia Brooks is a PhD candidate in Education, University of Cambridge, and Joint Head of EAL at a secondary school in Cambridge with research interests in dialogue and technology in linguistically diverse secondary school classrooms.

Caroline Beasley is a freelance Literacy Consultant who has worked as a teacher trainer for the British Council in Singapore and as a CLLD Consultant in London, supporting primary schools in the teaching and learning of Literacy. She has worked in whole school improvement in Malaysia, coached and mentored Literacy teachers in Brunei and recently developed online content for Literacy teacher trainers at Opportunity International.
