OVERVIEW OF THE GAME

Multi-Kart Battle is a team-based strategy game. In this game, there are four players in one battle game. The players are divided into two teams, the yellow team and the red team, and two players in one team could drive their karts to crash into karts of other teams as fast as possible to defeat them within a limited time. In addition, during the process of the game, there are four players and each one has five hit points(HP). The players grasp attack props to attack other players. Once a player is attacked, its HP gets deducted. Otherwise, if the players grasp heart props, their life will be regenerated. And the players also can change their moving state by gaining accelerated props or decelerate props. At the end of the game, If one team defeats all the components on the other side, it wins. Also, to speed up the game process and avoid the game running for too long, we set a timer of five minutes for each round. If none of the teams succeed in defeating the other within five minutes, we add up the coins of each team to determine the winning team of the game.

Rule

In this game, the total hit points (HP) of each player is 5 and the initial bomb number is 0. Furthermore, the range of the speed of the kart is from 0 to 50, the forward accelerate speed is 10 and the backward accelerate speed is 4. Each player can obtain game props by collision and also can throw the game props on competitors. If the competitors are crashed by a bomb prop and push the attack button within a 15-units distance, your HP will get deducted. Furthermore, the players can crash the accelerated props and decelerated props to increase or decrease their speed. Also, the players can accumulate coins by grasping the coin props. At the end of the game, if each team has the same number of teammates, the team with the more coins wins. If the number of teammates is not the same, the team with more teammates wins.

Control

Players move forward, backward, and turn left, turn right by using “W”, “S”, “A”, “D” keys respectively to change their direction, and pressing “Space” to throw a bomb to other players, and grasping the game props by crashing the game props.

Game props

There are many kinds of game props we use in the Multi-Kart Battle game. Each game prop has its functionality. For example, stopwatch props act as traps, resulting in any player who drives over them causing them to slow down. A bomb is a projectile-exploding item that you can throw across long distances to impale your competitors. The players can accelerate their speed of the kart by grasping a star and grab the heart to increase the player’s HP. The coin props are provided for deciding which team will win when the two teams have the same HP at the end of the game.
