SWOT analysis

Barrio Logan has a prominent Latino presence with many Spanish speakers, making it a diverse area for families and future generations to grow up.

Through our fundraising we aim to create community at school and with the shelter.

The area is a hub for the arts, featuring murals, graffiti, art galleries, cultural centres and promotion of small local artists.

We are using local businesses to fundraise and promote the shelter and the cause in the area where it is in operation.

There is public transportation access throughout the neighbourhood.

It is within close proximity to downtown San Diego area and other useful resources such as libraries and legal aid centres.
