The Muirlands ECE is a privately* organized excursion to the east coast to provide the opportunity for 8th grade students to learn about American History first hand. Students will explore the foundations of our country from the Freedom Trail in Boston to the hustle and bustle of New York, the political center of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, the unique culture of the Amish, the turning point of the American Civil War at the battle of Gettysburg and finally the center of today's American government in Washington D.C.

*This trip is not sponsored, funded or supervised by Muirlands Middle School or San Diego Unified School District. The trip is organized by World Expeditions with the help of parents and teachers. All teachers associated with the trip are not on duty and are not functioning as a district employee. No course credit is given for participation on this trip.
