About Us

Muirheid Farms is a family farming operation based in Cerro Gordo, Illinois. We grow corn, soybeans, and wheat. We currently service Macon and Piatt counties. Mat, the 6th generation, and Lance, the 7th generation split responsibilities equally on the farm. Our family has been farming in and around Decatur and the surrounding area for nearly 170 years. We are proud to still be farming the original piece of ground our family ancestors staked out and claimed back in 1856. We have been literally and figuratively planting roots in the area since before the Civil War. 

Farming is who we are and we are proud of it!
