Volunteer/Coaching Requirements

Muhlenberg Soccer Association is pleased you are considering volunteering your time to assist the club. As a Volunteer, you are required to submit a Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check (Act 34) and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151).

Clearances must be less than one (1) year old prior to volunteering. Clearances and/or affidavit are required every five (5) years in order to continue as a Volunteer.

Instructions on obtaining your required clearances:

• PA State Police Criminal History Act 34  https://epatch.pa.gov/. You must upload the actual certificate titled Response for Criminal Record Check

• PA Child Welfare History Act 151 - https://www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS   (website not compatible with all mobile devices)  

• FBI Fingerprint or Affidavit Act 153 - Act 153 Information Sheet if you have resided in Pennsylvania for the entire previous ten (10) years (click here)  

Upon receiving  your clearances, upload them to your GotSport account under

                                    Coach Dashboard -> Requirements -> View/ Submit 

All new coaches must comlete the trainings prior to the start of the season, returning coaches must complete the traininigs annually based on the expiration date listed on your account 

• Safe Sport: Through the GotSport website-> Dashboard -> SafeSport View/Submit -> Start Course (you will be asked to create an account for the SafeSport Training to begin the course

• Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Risk Management: Through the GotSport website -> Dashboard -> Eastern PA Youth Soccer Risk Management View/Submit -> Submit New Report -> Complete the Form

• Concussion Training Through the GotSport website -> Dashboard -> Concussion Training -> View/Submit -> Launch  Heads Up -> Begin Training Course
