Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Altaf (Horticulturist)
Post Doctoral Researcher (Hainan University, China)
I completed my Ph.D. from the School of Life Science at Hainan University, China. I am currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the College of Horticulture, Hainan University, China. I published around 16 research articles as a first author, 5 research article as corresponding authors, and 27 research articles as co-author in top leading journals of the world, having high impact factor. I am also editing 2 books as editor with international publishers Springer Nature; and one book chapter. My research interests are focused on the physiological, biochemical, and molecular aspects of horticultural plants. I am particularly engaged in investigating the role of melatonin in photosynthetic efficiency and mineral nutrient uptake from root to shoot under abiotic stress conditions. At present, Dr. Altaf serves as an editorial board member and reviewer of several high-impact international scientific journals from Elsevier, Springer Nature, Frontiers Group, and MDPI-Publishers.
