Muhammad Absaruddin is a PhD researcher in Computer Science at Atlantic Technological University (ATU), focusing on Terahertz (THz) MAC protocols for wireless data-centre networks. He completed his B.E. in Electrical Engineering at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan, in 2021. He has been recognised as an Exemplary Reviewer of IEEE Communications Letters in 2024, which was covered by the Irish newspaper Donegal News and by ATU’s official social media channels. He served on the Technical Program Committee (TPC) for IEEE MECOM 2025 and chaired sessions at IEEE 20th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC 2024) in 2024. He currently reviews for several reputable journals, including IEEE Communications Letters; Nature Scientific Reports; IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials; IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking; IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society; IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking; Computers & Electrical Engineering (Elsevier); Journal of Network and Computer Applications; Journal of Communications and Networks; Wireless Networks; KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems; Engineering Reports; and Frontiers in Blockchain.
His research interests include, but are not limited to, terahertz communication, data centres, 6G, MAC protocols, blockchain, smart grids, the Internet of Things, cyber security, electrical vehicles, computer networks, and wireless networks.
