Dr. Muhammad Asghar Khan, Ph.D., is currently serving as an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor and Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at Hamdard University and also worked as a Remote Research Fellow at the Smart Systems Engineering Lab, Prince Sultan University.

Dr. Khan is actively engaged in academic and research activities and serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals published by IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer. He has also contributed as a Guest Editor for various international journals. He has authored or co-authored more than 150 technical and review articles published in leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and IEEE Internet of Things Journal. In addition, he has presented his research work at numerous national and international conferences.

In recognition of his scholarly contributions, Dr Khan has been ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists in the Stanford University global ranking for the three consecutive years 2023-2025. His research interests include Drones/UAVs, Internet of Drones (IoD), UAV security, post-quantum cryptography, blockchain-enabled UAV systems, 6G non-terrestrial networks (NTN), cybersecurity, federated learning, and emerging intelligent communication systems.
