Meik Kottkamp has 30 years of technology experience in the cellular industry. He is Principal Technology Manager Wireless for Rohde & Schwarz in Munich and responsible for strategic marketing and product portfolio development covering existing and new 3GPP technologies. His focus is on 5G NR, specifically private 5G for industrial applications, and 6G. Meik joined Rohde & Schwarz in August 2007 after working for 11 years for Siemens and NSN. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree of electrical and microwave engineering from the Leibniz University Hannover, Germany.
Dominic A. Schupke is a research leader in reliable communication networks, currently focusing on Wireless Communications at Airbus, Munich, Germany. He is also a lecturer in Network Planning at Technical University of Munich (TUM). Prior to Airbus, he was with Nokia, Siemens, and TUM. He studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RWTH Aachen, Imperial College London, and TUM, from where he received a Dr.-Ing. degree (summa cum laude). Dominic is Senior Member of IEEE and author or co-author of more than 150 journal and conference papers (Google Scholar h-index 32). His recent research addresses aerospace networks.
Nicola Michailow is Senior Communications Systems Architect at Rivada Space Networks, working at the intersection of wireless communications, space systems, and artificial intelligence. Prior to this, he was with Siemens Technology, where he shaped the technical direction of private 5G and 6G R&D. He previously worked at National Instruments, contributing to SDR-based prototyping platforms for 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi technologies. Nicola received the Dr.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering from TU Dresden. He has co-authored 50+ scientific publications and 40+ inventions, and has contributed to numerous national and European research projects, including the 6G flagships 6G-ANNA, Hexa-X, and Hexa-X-II.
Joachim Sachs is Senior Expert at Ericsson Research with 29 years of experience in mobile telecommunication from 2G to 6G. His research interests include 5G and 6G mobile networks for enterprise use cases and industrial IoT, including cross-industry research collaborations.bJoachim studied electrical and electronics engineering at RWTH Aachen University, ENSEEIHT Toulouse, NTNU Trondheim, and University of Strathclyde Glasgow. He received a diploma degree from RWTH Aachen University and a Ph.D. degree from Technical University Berlin. In 2009, Joachim was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University. He was awarded as Ericsson Inventor of the Year in 2006, has received the Research Award of the Vodafone Foundation for Scientific Research in 2010, and was awarded as Ericsson Top Performer in 2019. He is the Co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Communication Networks and Systems of the German VDE Information Technology Society and he is a VDE ITG Fellow. He also co-chairs the working group Resilient-By-Design of the 6G Platform Germany. He holds numerous patents and has published three books, two book chapters, and around 95 papers in international journals and conferences (Google Scholar h-index 54).
