Bruno and Toto's Story…

Meet Bruno (brown) and Toto!

These two terrier mix babies were seized from a home after the owner passed away. We believe there to be abuse, neglect, lack of attention in vet, care, drugs, and other horrors in this house, which, since then has basically been condemned. These poor pups were found amongst the garbage frozen in fear and filthy, full of fleas, had hair loss and in terrible condition. I’ve had them here for several months and they are doing much better. Bruno‘s coat has grown in beautifully and they are now starting to come out of their shell. They really are adorable with their funny bottom teeth. They are now healthy and they just need to find a home to be loved and happy. They need to get out of rescue where they are part of such a large group and get more one on one attention and socialization. They get along great with other dogs, cats unknown. There is no aggression whatsoever, they are just really scared and want to hide. Can you help us get them into a phenomenal foster home or adoption home?  They are a bonded pair. They are approximately six years old and 10 pounds each. They are  house trained and neutered. They will also use pee pads.

Meet Gardonia! Gardonia is a sweet Shih Tzu senior who was dumped by her owners. She is 13 years old and weighs 14 pounds. She loves meeting other dogs and is house trained. She is deaf and has dry eye. She is wobbly, so no stairs.

Meet Happy! Happy was rescued from a horrible situation. He was treated for heartworm and now just needs a monthly pill. He is completely vetted and is a sweet little boy who needs a loving home. He is a 3 year old, 20 pound small beagle mix.

Grayson's Story…

Meet Grayson! Grayson was found on the streets of New Haven with matted fur and scared. He is now all shaved down and ready to be happy in his forever home. Grayson is a 9 month old Shih Tzu puppy and he weighs about 11 pounds. He is completely vetted and neutered. Grayson is a little timid at first but quickly comes out of his shell. He is ready or his forever home.

Finn's Story…

Meet little Finn! Short for Finnegan. Finn was found wandering busy city streets by the local ACO and no one ever claimed him. It appears he had been struck on the head with something, but we don’t know what We did three sets of xrays and discovered he has a fracture on left side of jaw and crushed bones in a nasal cavity. Surprisingly, the rest of his teeth are in good shape. He is now vetted and just needs some time to mend. He’s doing great and his little tail never stops a wagging! Finn is a Terrier mix, 9 pounds and about 3 years old. He is completely vetted.

Milo's Story…

Meet Milo. Milo is very sweet and friendly, He is good with dogs, cats, and kids. He loves walks and playing fetch, He just needs attention and extra love. He loves being cuddled and giving kisses. Milo was saved by a good samaritan and now he needs to find a great forever home. He was saved from a horrible, abusive situation. He was kept in a cage most of the time and was only let out to use the bathroom, He had something around his mouth because, according to the owners, he barked too much. Since we‘ve had him he just barks like a normal dog, not excessive at all. He might bark at the mailman or a delivery driver. His past owner would hit him to correct him when he did something like bark or climb on someone for a kiss. That white line you see across his muzzle in the photos is actually from a scar where they had his mouth tied closed. This poor deserving baby needs a kind and loving home.

Tias's Story…

Meet Tias! He's a small, spicy 10 year-old possible Chi, rat terrier mix. His owner passed away, and he found himself in a very high volume shelter, scared, confused and alone. He is neutered, completely vetted and just had a dental. He gets along with other dogs, but he’s really not interested in them. He’d rather be with his person. He seems very unsure of everything. He may not have been in the best of homes. He is sweet and likes to cuddle. He goes to the bathroom outside, but we are working on his house breaking. Would love to find him a quiet, loving home with maybe an older person or a couple where he will be showered with love and affection. This poor little guy needs to have someone help him build his confidence.

Goldie's Story…

Meet Goldie! Goldie is a sweet, little Yorkie who was saved from euthanasia. She is approximately 7 pounds and three years old. We don’t know what tragedy left her paralyzed, but she has no use of her two back legs. She will be going to the vet for x-rays and exams to see what we can figure out for long-term plan, but she gets along perfectly fine by scooting along the floor or does really great in her wheelchair. She is capable of peeing and pooping on her own, but she does not have control. She has adjusted very well to wearing a diaper and it’s truly not that difficult as she is such a little bitty girl. Would you consider opening up your heart in your home and adopting or fostering this sweet pup when she arrives at the rescue?
