Cannoli's Story…

Meet Cannoli! Cannoli is under a year old and weighs approximately 18 pounds. He is very tall, long and lanky. He definitely has some Schnauzer in him and we’re not positive what else. He is very high energy and full of puppy curiosity. Cannoli needs a slow approach at first as he came off the streets of Waterbury and is timid and apprehensive. He’s doing really well here at the rescue and doing excellent with his basic training such as sit, stay, going potty outside, etc. He loves to play with the other dogs. He is neutered and completely vetted.

Rudy's Story…

Meet Rudy! Rudy was found wandering the streets in a local city, at only 5 1/2 pounds, this adorable little boy is now looking for a safe place to land. The vet guesstimates that he’s approximately five years old, male Merle Yorkie. He's got beautiful coloring. The photos are very poor imaging because he was not cooperating or holding still. Rudy is completely vetted and neutered. We did three sets of x-rays on little Rudy to assure us that there were no neurological or spinal issues. He does have a bit of a wonky gate and cannot climb steps. It has been determined that he has a luxating patella on his left hind leg. He is not a candidate for surgery at this time. It comes and goes, so it not all the time and because of his teeny tiny size, surgery is not recommended. Careful monitoring and some great supplements will help him. He is very sweet, very affection, very adorable and house trained. He is good with other dogs and loves to snuggle.

Arwin's Story…

Meet Arwin! This absolutely adorable, precious, sweet little girl is only about three or four months old. She weighs approximately 21lbs. She was about to be surrendered to a high volume kill shelter when a good Samaritan stepped up and took her. They reached out to us for help and of course we said yes. Not only is she sweet and adorable but super smart. She has the face of a Parsons terrier, but is bigger boned and is probably going to be more of a larger girl. Arwin is potty trained, loves other dogs and kitties! She is already spayed and vaccinated. She just needs her third puppy shot.

Meet Gardonia! Gardonia is a sweet Shih Tzu senior who was dumped by her owners. She is 13 years old and weighs 14 pounds. She loves meeting other dogs and is house trained. She is deaf and has dry eye. She is wobbly, so no stairs.

Finn's Story…

Meet little Finn! Short for Finnegan. Finn was found wandering busy city streets by the local ACO and no one ever claimed him. It appears he had been struck on the head with something, but we don’t know what We did three sets of xrays and discovered he has a fracture on left side of jaw and crushed bones in a nasal cavity. Surprisingly, the rest of his teeth are in good shape. He is now vetted and just needs some time to mend. He’s doing great and his little tail never stops a wagging! Finn is a Terrier mix, 9 pounds and about 3 years old. He is completely vetted.

Tias's Story…

Meet Tias! He's a small, spicy 10 year-old possible Chi, rat terrier mix. His owner passed away, and he found himself in a very high volume shelter, scared, confused and alone. He is neutered, completely vetted and just had a dental. He gets along with other dogs, but he’s really not interested in them. He’d rather be with his person. He seems very unsure of everything. He may not have been in the best of homes. He is sweet and likes to cuddle. He goes to the bathroom outside, but we are working on his house breaking. Would love to find him a quiet, loving home with maybe an older person or a couple where he will be showered with love and affection. This poor little guy needs to have someone help him build his confidence.

Goldie's Story…

Meet Goldie! Goldie is a sweet, little Yorkie who was saved from euthanasia. She is approximately 7 pounds and three years old. We don’t know what tragedy left her paralyzed, but she has no use of her two back legs. She will be going to the vet for x-rays and exams to see what we can figure out for long-term plan, but she gets along perfectly fine by scooting along the floor or does really great in her wheelchair. She is capable of peeing and pooping on her own, but she does not have control. She has adjusted very well to wearing a diaper and it’s truly not that difficult as she is such a little bitty girl. Would you consider opening up your heart in your home and adopting or fostering this sweet pup?
