Meet Carlos! I am a shelter dog out of the Hartford Pound. I am the happiest sweetest little boy ever ! I am a fun, spunky, spirited gut and I would love nothing more than a house full of other dogs or kids or both to romp and play with. I am attentive, well behaved, happy and have a great disposition. My foster mom believes I am about a year old and approximately 10 pounds. He has the body of a Chihuahua, but the personality of a Jack Russell and a long flowing mane like a hyena around his neck and back, and it just gives him that much more character and charm. Meet Tippy Toe! He was named this because he walks on his tippy toes because he has a tumor on his legs and his nails were very bad. Tippy Toe is an approximately 10 year old, 10 pound Chihuahua mix. Please help us save this sweet old fella. He was found wandering the streets of Waterbury. Apparently years of neglect had his nails are super long and criss crossing each other. He has a tumor on his front leg that is larger than a golf ball. His teeth are in horrific condition. We have him on pain meds to relieve some of his discomfort right now and he is going to the vet on Monday morning for his first wellness visit and to start vaccinations. Then we will schedule him for two more surgeries. One to remove a major mass on his leg and a second surgery to neuter and do a dental. This poor boy has been suffering long enough. Please help us find him a loving, forever home.

He was a little shy and scared when we first pulled him out of the shelter and now he’s a completely different dog . Trent is working on his potty training. Meet Goldie! Goldie is a sweet, little Yorkie who was saved from euthanasia. She is approximately 7 pounds and three years old. We don’t know what tragedy left her paralyzed, but she has no use of her two back legs. She will be going to the vet for x-rays and exams to see what we can figure out for long-term plan, but she gets along perfectly fine by scooting along the floor or does really great in her wheelchair. She is capable of peeing and pooping on her own, but she does not have control. She has adjusted very well to wearing a diaper and it’s truly not that difficult as she is such a little bitty girl. Would you consider opening up your heart in your home and adopting or fostering this sweet pup?
