Wyatt's Story…

Meet Wyatt! This cutie pie is an 5 month old mini Chihuahua mix. He weighs about 4 pounds and was caught in the middle of a divorce where neither person wanted him. He is pee pad trained and working on outdoor potty training. Wyatt will be completely vetted. He’s been microchipped, had his rabies, three rounds of Puppy DHPT, canine virus vaccines, been dewormed and flea and tick treated and neutered. He is a silly boy that likes to play. He loves his toys, especially his squeaky ones. He is mischievous and stubborn at times. He loves to run around outside then bring in some sticks to play with later. He doesn't like to be alone. He likes to snuggle under a blanket while touching his person. He wants to taste everything thing that you are eating. Wyatt loves belly and back scratches and won't move until you stop. He will show you his zoomies when you get home. He is good with other dogs and kittens. He's a little afraid of big dogs.

Cayenne's Story…

Meet Cayenne! This sweet girl was found wandering the streets in a very large city here in Connecticut. She was alone, scared, and afraid. She was terrified at the shelter and we scooped her up and brought her to our rescue where she is safe and warm and loved. It took her a day or two to come out of her shell but now she’s doing great. She is an approximately three year-old Yorkie mix female, and weighs about 10 pounds. She is going to the vet on Wednesday to finish her vetting, which will include vaccinations, exam, spay and microchip. She will be ready for adoption by next weekend.

Toby's Story…

Meet Toby! He is super sweet and super adorable! Toby is a well behaved Schnauzer/Cavipoo pix. He has an excellent disposition and is just a little cutie pie. He is about eight months old and approximately 16 pounds . Toby is going to the vet this Wednesday to get all his vaccinations and heart worm testing, neuter microchip, etc. Then he will be available for adoption. This will be a wonderful dog for most any household setting.

Susie's Story…

Meet Susie! This sweet, little gal is a 12 year old, 8 pound, female Chihuahua. Susie came from lousy living conditions. She was really dirty with long nails and not in the best of shape. She has been bathed, groomed and will be completely vetted this week. She will also get a dental cleaning done. She is a sweet girl who needs a nice, loving, quiet home for her remaining years.

Dobby's Story…

Meet Dobby! This adorable little guy is a Yorkie mix who reminds us of the house elf from Harry Potter. Dobby is between one and two years old and only weighs about nine pounds. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and will be available after Wednesday (7/17) once he finishes his vetting. Dobby has a fun, good disposition. He has a very long, body and is silver and red in color. He's been interacting well with the other dogs at the rescue.

Riley's Story…

Meet Riley! He will be available next week after he finishes his vetting, which will include neuter, micro chipped, rabies, and distemper vaccines. He is heartworm negative. Riley is an approximately two year-old, male, 18 pound Chihuahua/rat terrier mix. He is super friendly. Riley was dumped and the person who found him gave him to a neighbor and when he visited later, he found out the dog wasn't cared for and even had been attacked by dogs. He was filthy and full of fleas and beat up. He took him back and called us. Riley is sweet and loving . He loves to cuddle and lay with you. Riley loves treats, cheese puffs and fritos. He does well with female dogs and neutered males. The vet said Riley was one of the friendliest dogs he had seen in a while. Everytime he went into the recovery room to check on other dogs, Riley thumped the crate with his tail wagging.

Chewbacca's Story…

Meet Chewbacca (because that’s exactly who he look like before he got his haircut today)! Chewbacca‘s owner passed away and the family could not take him in so they reached out to our rescue for help. He is three or four years old, weighs 14 lbs and we think a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix. He was in kind of rough shape. He had dry, patchy skin and many of his nails were grown into his pads. We took him to the vet today where he had an exam, rabies vaccination, Bordetella, canine four DX Snap test, DA2PP plus Lepto vaccine and was micro chipped. We are now just waiting to get him neutered. At that point he will be ready for adoption. He is a very nice, very calm, sweet, little boy. He gets along really well with other dogs. He has a nice disposition and no aggression. He is calm and quiet.

But now, this loving little pup has been groomed and vetted and seeking his forever home. Igor is an approximately 8/9 year old male Shih Tzu. He weighs about 14 lbs. He is very well behaved, has good manners and will bark to go outside to go potty. Igor loves attention and has such an adorable personality. He is blind in one eye and has some dry eye in the other one. When we first got him, he was stiff and slow moving. Now that he is groomed and vetted and getting plenty of exercise and he is really moving and having a great time enjoying his new life. Can you please help us find him a forever home? Goldie's Story…

Meet Goldie! Goldie is a sweet, little Yorkie who was saved from euthanasia. She is approximately 7 pounds and three years old. We don’t know what tragedy left her paralyzed, but she has no use of her two back legs. She will be going to the vet for x-rays and exams to see what we can figure out for long-term plan, but she gets along perfectly fine by scooting along the floor or does really great in her wheelchair. She is capable of peeing and pooping on her own, but she does not have control. She has adjusted very well to wearing a diaper and it’s truly not that difficult as she is such a little bitty girl. Would you consider opening up your heart in your home and adopting or fostering this sweet pup?

Meet Tater Tot! If you are a bully breed or French bulldog breed person, we have an adorable sweet girl for you. Tater Tot is very affectionate and very sweet. She’s got a great disposition. She is one year old and weighs 22 pounds. She can be a bit overbearing with other pups as she is high energy. Tater Tot is completely vetted, including spay, microchip, heartworm, snap test all negative, rabies and distemper. She will just need a distemper booster in four weeks. She needs an adopter with Frenchie or bulldog experience as these dogs require special care.
