Work out who your audience is.

• Each page is likely to have a particular audience.
• Everyone can see the home page ! Think about who you want to 'talk' to from there.
• Maybe you want more Dojo members, or more volunteer mentors ?
• You will want to share your projects with parents and friends. That might live in a section called 'Projects'
• This page is for you, probably not the general public, so it lives in the 'For Ninjas' section.

Remember your audience:

• Write from the point of view of the person reading it.
• Use 'you' or 'your' rather than 'we' or 'I'.
• Use short simple sentences.
• Have no more than 6 'thoughts' or sections on a page.
• Most of us have forgotten the first thing by the time we read the 6th.

Keep it simple !

• Keep your pages 'clean'. Simple and uncluttered !
• Pictures are great, use them to 'add' to your story.
• Reading is easiest with 'lowercase' black text on a white background.
• Avoid CAPITAL LETTERS for whole words. It's like yelling at someone !
• Most people using your site will see it on a mobile phone.
• Test every page on a phone or check 'preview' - 'phone' when editing.
