Welcome to my website! I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. I got my Ph.D. in Economics from Virginia Tech. My research lies in the intersection of Economics of Education, Gender and Development. I have teaching experience in econometrics, development economics, health economics, microeconomics, and quantitative methods of impact evaluation.
My current research agenda focuses on using experimental and quasi-experimental methods to evaluate policies in the education and health sector. I have investigated the determinants of gender disparities in enrollment in STEM fields, the effect of in-utero and early in life shocks on educational and health outcomes, and the impact of school closures on learning. I have also conducted cost-effectiveness studies of health programs such as COVID-19 mobile vaccination and field epidemiology training programs in the United States.
