Monipur High School and College is a secondary school and college in Mirpur, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is one of the private secondary schools in Bangladesh. Currently, about 35 thousand students are studying in Bengali medium and English medium and higher secondary branches in the institution.
The institution started its journey in 1969 with a negligible number of students. During the journey, the land of the school was 17.5 percent, the number of students was 45 and the number of teachers was 13. In 1978, the institution was converted into a high school. In 2010, the institution was upgraded to a college. English medium was introduced in 2011.
There are a total of 12 shifts of 2 (morning and day) shifts per campus (from class I to class XII). There are currently 500 teachers, 150 officers and employees in all the 6 branches of Monipur High School and College.
Morning Shift: 07:00 AM to 11:45 PM
Day Shift: 12:20 PM to 05:10 PM.
(This time limit changes slightly depending on the season)
In 2007, 2008 and 2009, the school secured the 3rd position in the SSC Examination held under the Dhaka Education Board. A+ of 652 and 556 students in 2008 and 2009 respectively in this examination ranks the school as the 3rd best school in Bangladesh in terms of GPA 5. In 2009, secured the 2nd position in the 8th class evaluation examination held under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
