The Minnetonka Badminton Club is pleased to announce the launch of a Junior Badminton Training Class. This program is designed to provide aspiring badminton players with professional training and guidance.
The Junior Badminton Training Class will be conducted in conjunction with our Badminton Open Gym program. This unique opportunity allows children to acquire badminton skills while parents have the flexibility to participate in our adult badminton open gym program. Separate registration is necessary for adults, either through a season pass or a day pass.
Note: The spots are limited to 8 kids per session to give the utmost attention by the coach to the kids at each age category.
Since the age of four, I have been engaged in the sport of badminton, initially under the guidance of my father, a former professional player and owner of a mid-sized badminton academy. His mentorship provided a robust technical and strategic framework for my development from a young age.
As my passion for the sport intensified, I enrolled in the esteemed Nikhil Kanetkar Badminton Academy in Pune, where I dedicated myself to rigorous training. By the age of eight, I embarked on a professional career, representing my school, district, and state in various competitions and tournaments. These experiences instilled in me a competitive mindset, discipline, and profound understanding of the game.
Over time, I transitioned into the role of mentor and coach. I interned at my father’s academy, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in training children, conducting practice exercises, and acquiring effective coaching methodologies. Additionally, I imparted private lessons, further honing my communication and instructional abilities.
After relocating to Boston, I continued to share my expertise by training a select group of young players, emphasizing both technique and game strategy. Recently, we relocated to Minnesota, and I am eager to contribute to the badminton community here by training young athletes and disseminating the knowledge, skills, and passion I have cultivated over the years.
