History
The first Key Club was established in 1925 in Sacramento High School by California State Commissioner of Schools Albert C. Olney with teacher Frank C. Vincent, who wanted to make a club that has a positive impact. The first key club district was formed 14 years later in Florida. The CNH District was formed in 1947. The first key club outside of US and Canada was established in the Bahamas 20 years later. Key Club has since grown to Caribbean nations, South and Central America, Asia, and Australia.
Key Club has supported many throughout global crisis. $1.2 million dollars was raised to fight against iodine deficiency disorders in 1998. In 2008, key club raised $1.3 million to fight against HIV/AIDs in Swaziland. Today, key club continues to make an impact by supporting International Service Partners March of Dimes, UNICEF, and Children's Miracle Network.
