Beautiful girl (2023)

"Beautiful girl, stepping into the world. You sing your own song, so pure so strong." A song about letting go. A bit nostalgic and also filled with pride. Vocals by Eric Kosterman.

Night Vision (2023)

With all the stress and conflict in the world going on, we need Night Vision to get to piece and understanding. I wrote this song for a get together of our EMCCC group. Lyrics by Florian Kraft.

Well, the party is off to a good start (2022)

The idea of the song is that of a dinner party turning into a dance party. The song starts off with a jazz-funk intro that evolves into an EDM dance beat. Mostly instrumental, supported with some vocal samples. 

Old school Disco (2022)

I wanted to write and produce a song that has that "Old school" disco sound. For the lyrics, I used song titles of classic disco songs. (Can you spot them all?) And the bridge has references to classic disco songs as well. All in all over 25 references, was really fun to do! Vocals are performed by Karlijn, with whom I used to sing in a band called "On Common Ground". Mixing done together with Martijn, drummer of that same band.

Top of Mt. Ashtree (2021)

Inspiration for this song came when climbing a Dune on our way to the sea, with the whole family during our holidays. I wrote the song that same day and later on recorded it with all of our nieces and nephews to underline the climbing of Mt. Ashtree. Lyrics performed by my daughters and myself.

Like Colours (2021)

Written in 2021, but taken offline and re-recorded in a bit more uptempo version in 2022. A classic love song, with a different build up (as compared to a traditional verse and chorus structure) in order to get a more dramatic effect. The song is like a story or a dream that builds up towards the final phrase "my love for you is real". Vocals performed by my daugther Meike.

Invincible (2020)

Second song, with lots of experimentation and learning in it. Based on a shuffle beat (partly human beats), some rap (for fun) by me and some concluding vocal phrases. When I listen to it now, I hear a lot of things that can (or should) be improved, but I still like it, mostly for nostalgic reasons. 

Live your dreams (2020)

My first song. The lyrics still mean a lot to me and express some of the main theme's of life that many of us (I for sure) struggle with. And amongst all of these serious thoughts and doubts, the realization "don't you worry, let's have a good time". Lead vocals performed by my daughter Meike and backing vocals by the rest of the familiy. Live your dreams, they will take you to tomorrow!
