For individuals who have not previously served, select a pay grade of E-1, and type the number "1" for years of service. This will be your estimated starting pay.
Drill pay is what you will receive for working one weekend each month.
Annual Training pay is what you will receive for the 15 additional training days you will work each year, separate from your monthly drill attendance.
The Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) is how we determine your academic and medical qualifications for joining the Air National Guard. This is where you will take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test and receive a medical exam (similar to a full sports physical). Check out this guide to learn more about what to expect.
By joining the Montana Air National Guard you will have the cost of your tuition waived at all Montana State Schools. You will also receive the Montgomery G.I. Bill (MGIB, Chapter 1606), a monthly tax free incentive to help offset the cost of education expenses separate from tuition (books, lab fees, activities fees, etc.).
