Meet Ms. Young

Hello!  My name is Dawn Young and I will be your science teacher this year. This is my fourth year at Cimarron but I have been teaching a number of years from kindergarten-6th grade in California, Virginia, Thailand, and Colorado.  I love teaching science and found Cimarron to be the perfect place to do that.  

I attended California State University, Fullerton and earned my Bachelor Degree in Child Development, later I completed my Masters Degree in Education through Jones International University.  I have taught in many places and have loved all of the experience it has given me.

I have 3 adult children, 4 perfect grandkids and, I live in Parker with my husband, Larry and my youngest daughter, Shanan, and our dog, Willow.

My favorite thing to do is travel.  I think I could live out of a suitcase for the rest of my life.  I love learning about new places and meeting new people along the way. 

This year is going to be an exciting year filled with many new opportunities. As a team, students, parents, and me, we will be challenged, learn, and grow together.
