About Me

Hi! My name is Crystal Young and I am an elementary grade teacher. From the moment I stepped into my first classroom, I knew that elementary grades were for me. The energetic and humorous conversation among my students, I was caught hook -line- and sinker by the elementary grade bug.

I graduated from University of Houston-downtown with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary studies with an ESL supplement. I earned my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Houston. Go Coogs!

My teaching career allowed me to experience teaching to different age groups and in different classroom environments. I have over 10 years of experience in grades, kindergarten through 4th grade. I always love learning new strategies and keeping myself informed so I can do what is best for my students.
