WEEK OF OCTOBER 19th-OCTOBER 23rd

END OF QUARTER 1: The end of the first quarter will be on Monday, October 19th. Report cards will be sent home this week!

SCRIPT DRESS DOWN: Wednesday, October 21st is a SCRIPT Dress Down for all students who have purchased SCRIPT. Please check the school website to see if your child may dress down.

ALL SAINTS PROJECTS: Last week, your child came home with two important papers. The first paper includes the instructions that your child will need in order to complete their All Saints Report. For All Saints Day, your child will need to select a saint that they would like to depict at our All Saints parade on Thursday, October 29th. Once your child selects the saint they wish to depict, they will need to complete the All Saints Report by answering questions about their saint. You may help your child with answering these questions, but they MUST complete the report in their own handwriting.

The second paper will include instructions for completing their All Saints Pumpkin Project. For this project, we ask that your child select a saint (that is NOT the same as the one they are depicting at our parade) and disguise the pumpkin on the back of the instruction page as that saint. They may glue any additional objects to demonstrate their creativity in disguising their pumpkin as a saint!

Both of these projects will be completed at home, and will be due on Friday, October 23rd. If your child completes their project before then, they are more than welcome to turn them in early! If you have any questions about either of these projects please do not hesitate to reach out!

ALL SAINTS CELEBRATION: We will have our All Saints celebration on Thursday, October 29th. We will begin with the students parading into church at our normal mass time, continue by having a parade in the front loop of the school at 1:15, and finishing with a party in our classroom immediately following the parade. All parents are welcome to join us at all for these events!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: Our designated Parent Teacher Conference Day is scheduled for Monday, October 26th. If this day does not work for your schedule, I have set aside some days between now and then that we can utilize to schedule a time to meet. Please keep an eye out for the email that I will send for how you can sign up for a time slot to meet!

IMPORTANT EVENTS/DATES IN OCTOBER:

SCHOLASTIC ORDER: If your child would like to purchase books from Scholastic, please utilize the following link to place their order.

STAR STUDENT: The Star Student for the month of October representing the Virtue of Orderliness is June! Congratulations, June!

SNACK: Please send your child to school each day with 1-2 snacks to have during our classroom snack time.

SNACK SIGN-UP: I always like to have extra snacks in the classroom with the chance that a child might forget to pack one for the day. If you would like to help provide snacks for the classroom I have created a signup sheet. I have divided the sheet into months. If your name is under the month in which we find ourselves needing more snacks in the classroom, I will email you asking for them. Please do not send in snacks on your month unless you receive an email requesting some. Thank you so much for your generosity!
