The three days prior to my departure, I had drill, as I am in the military. This was March 31-April 2nd and then my flight was on April 3rd. My drill began and ended in Louisville and then I would be staying at Garrett's in Louisville the night before our flight. I do not live in Louisville so I was a little stressed about making sure I packed everything for military as well as for this Ireland trip. About a week before I needed to leave for drill, I started putting things for Europe in a bin. Four days before I left, I decided to fully pack for military so I did not have to worry about that anymore and could just focus on things for my Ireland trip. This is my second trip to Europe so I have a little better understanding of what I need to pack. Some items I packed were:
graduation stole for my Irish friends to sign
plug-in adapter
a paper copy of my passport for each bag I was bringing
multiple copies of my insurance
travel toiletries
WKU towel
travel makeup mirror
a sudoku book
a reading book
rain jacket
a tote bag
passport
neck pillow
I knew I wanted to have some cash on me for this trip so I decided to order 250 Euros from my local bank. They had the money within a couple of days and I was able to pick it up. I put some cash in my wallet and some in my folder in my backpack. I prefer to put my cash in a couple of places incase I have my purse stolen.
