Laura is a professor in MSU's Department of Physics & Astronomy, where she researches high-energy astronomical explosions like novae and supernovae. In addition to leading PAREDS, she runs the MSU Observatory, with initiatives to engage large numbers of undergrads in hands-on research and public outreach/education.

Rebecca is a graduate student in the Astrophysics Ph.D. program at MSU, where they study neutron stars across the electromagnetic spectrum.

Seth is a professor in MSU's Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, where he studies the formation of our Solar System and planetary systems around other stars. He founded a sister program to PAREDS, GeoREDS, which provides research experiences to Drew Scholars in the geosciences.
