A little about myself:

Hello! My name is Vanessa Quarinto. I'm a teacher candidate in the BEd program at UBC, where I specialize in English. I'm extremely privileged to have the opportunity to learn and grow on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish and Musqueam peoples.

I'm originally from southern Italy and (though perhaps a bit rusty), I'm fully fluent in Italian. I love languages and I'm always trying to brush up on my French, too.

I completed my first degree in English Literature and Creative Writing at UBC back in 2015. Between that degree and this current one, I've been teaching dance and theatre throughout Metro Vancouver and sneaking in some performances myself here and there.

My goal as an educator has always been to foster a love of learning, and to promote connection, compassion, and creative expression in all the students who pass through my classroom.
