Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy applies to the Mëso family of language-learning apps:
Mëso Anglisht
Mëso Gjermanisht
Mëso Italisht
The apps are developed by Valon Januzi (Albcoding) ("we", "us"). On the Apple App Store they are published by Albcoding SH.P.K.; on Google Play they are published by Valon Januzi.
It covers the versions of these apps that work as described below (Mëso Anglisht 3.0 and later on iPhone, and the new versions of the other apps and of the Android apps as they are released). If an app does not have a feature described here (for example the AI bee), that section does not apply to it.

No ads, no tracking, no accounts. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
Your learning progress is stored on your phone (and, on iPhone, in your own iCloud). We cannot access it.
The AI bee is optional. Messages you send to it go to OpenAI only to generate a reply, and we do not store them.
Speaking exercises recognize your voice on your phone. Your voice does not leave the device.
Lesson progress, honey points, streaks, saved words, decorations and settings are stored on your device.
iPhone: if iCloud is enabled, Apple syncs this data to your iCloud account (private database) so your progress moves to a new iPhone.
Android: the data stays on the device and may be included in your Android backup if you have backup turned on.
This data never reaches our servers and we cannot see it.
You are asked for consent before first use. When you chat with the bee or ask it to correct a text:
Your text, the language you are learning and your level (for example "A2") are sent to our server (Google Firebase Cloud Functions, EU region europe-west1) and from there to OpenAI to generate the answer.
We do not store your messages. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train models and may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
Please do not include personal details (address, phone number) in your messages.
Anonymous ID and daily limit. To count daily use (for example 3 free messages, or up to 200 with Premium), the app creates an anonymous ID with Firebase Authentication. We store only this ID, the date and the number of uses. The ID is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or Google account. Technical server logs (anonymous ID, level, usage count) are kept by Google Cloud for a limited time, usually up to 30 days.
"Say it out loud" exercises, and the bee's microphone in the free version, use your phone's built-in, on-device speech recognition. Your voice is not sent anywhere and is not stored.
Voice messages to the bee (Premium): the recording (up to 30 seconds) is sent through our server to OpenAI only to be converted into text. We do not store the audio.
Microphone permission is requested only when you first tap the microphone button, and you can revoke it at any time in your phone's settings.
Payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card details. To confirm your Premium status, the app sends our server the purchase record signed by Apple or Google, which contains only subscription data (product, dates). It is not stored.
To make sure requests to our server come from the genuine app, we use Firebase App Check with Apple App Attest (iPhone) or Google Play Integrity (Android). These verify the app and device without providing personal data.
The daily reminder is scheduled on your phone at the time you choose. We do not use a push notification server.
We do not show ads, use analytics tools, track you across other apps or websites, or sell or share data for marketing.
The apps are suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The AI bee requires consent before use, and we recommend that children under 13 use it with a parent.
Delete your progress: uninstall the app. On iPhone, to also delete the iCloud copy: Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → the app's name.
Withdraw consent: simply stop using the AI bee, and turn off the microphone permission in your phone's settings.
For any question, or to ask us to delete the anonymous usage counter, write to albcoding@gmail.com.
We respect your rights under applicable data protection law, including the GDPR for users in the European Union.
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Important changes will be announced in the apps.
