This is the main article for Mythical Monsters. For the category, see Category:Mythical Monsters.
Mythicals cannot be bred and must be bought through secret promo codes.
Throughout June 2022, an event called Month of the Mythical took place. In this event, the community could vote on various polls to help the Monster-Handlers develop the Cold Island Mythical. The result was Strombonin, which was revealed and released in Anniversary Month 2022.
People who pledged for the Ultimate Creator Experience on the My Singing Monsters: The Board Game Kickstarterhad/will have an all-expenses-paid trip to Big Blue Bubble headquarters to design their very own Mythical Monster. These Mythicals, in order of release, are as follow:
On November 23rd, 2022, Cherubble was released on Fire Oasis and Mythical Island. Its concept was created by EriktheCleric.
On February 15th, 2023, Hyehehe was released on Earth Island and Mythical Island. Its concept was created by QuinnQwerty.
On April 5th, 2023, Anglow was released on Water Island and Mythical Island. Its concept was created by Chris Wimberly.
The Monster-Handlers have stated that Anglow was the last of the Ultimate Creator Experience Mythicals, the last Mythical on Fire Haven will not be designed by an Ultimate Creator (possibly due to the person who pledged the creation of the Fire Haven Mythical opting out). The Fire Haven Mythical will instead be designed with the community by voting on various polls to determine its characteristics during the Month of the Mythical in June 2023, just like Strombonin. This time around, though, the community will not be able to vote on the type of musical sound it plays, having already been chosen beforehand by the Monster-Handlers (which was interpreted by Monster-Handler Tyson in the Month of the Mythical 2 video as the fact BBB knows what it will sound like "courtesy to the Monster-Handler composers").
On September 6th, 2023, Buzzinga was released on Fire Haven and Mythical Island. It was created by the community through a series of polls held by the Monster-Handlers on their social media pages.
Each Mythical can be obtained by breeding two specific monsters together at any time of the year. Throughout the year, there can be Mythical Breeding Bonanzas that increase the odds of successfully breeding a Mythical Monster.

Air,
On the Board Game, G'joob and Yawstrich appear as playable cards. However, instead of having the Mythical Element, they have all the five Natural Elements (Plant, Cold, Air, Water, and Earth (the same Elements as Mimic).
Unlike the Ethereal Monsters, Mythical Elementals are native to the Natural Islands and then travel to their ownisland.
Rare Mythicals are the only Rare Monsters that can breed, but can not breed with their Common form.
This is due to how breeding works on Mythical Island, the only Island that they can breed on, being that all breeding must be a combination of Cataliszt and a monster with only the Mythical Element.
Most of the Mythicals seem to play near or at the end of their home Islands' song. G'joob plays near the end of Plant Island, while Strombonin, Yawstrich, Hyehehe, and Cherubble play at the end of Cold Island, Air Island, Earth Island, and Fire Oasis respectively.
However, Hyehehe plays for a significantly longer portion of the song than the other Mythicals.
Anglow is an exception to this, as it plays not only at the end, but also at the start and in the middle of the song when Epic Wubbox starts playing.
Buzzinga is also an exception, as it plays during Barrb’s part and nowhere else.
The breeding time for each Mythical goes up by 5 hours for each Natural Island until Water Island, and then it goes back down by 5 for Earth Island and the Fire Islands, creating a pyramid. Each Dreamythical has a breeding time 9 hours higher than the breeding time of the Mythical that is used to breed it, since Cataliszt has a 9 hour incubation time.
G'joob has a breeding time of 18 hours, and Bleatnik has a breeding time of 1 day and 3 hours.
Strombonin has a breeding time of 23 hours, and Cranchee has a breeding time of 1 day and 8 hours.
Yawstrich has a breeding time of 1 day and 4 hours, and Sporerow has a breeding time of 1 day and 13 hours.
Anglow has a breeding time of 1 day and 9 hours, and Pinghound has a breeding time of 1 day and 18 hours.
Hyehehe has a breeding time of 1 day and 4 hours, and Wheezel has a breeding time of 1 day and 13 hours.
Buzzinga has a breeding time of 23 hours, and Knurv has a breeding time of 1 day and 8 hours.
Cherubble has a breeding time of 18 hours, and shLep has a breeding time of 1 day and 3 hours.
Lore-wise, all Dreamythicals are created by dreamcraft from the dreams and imaginations of the regular Mythicals. This helps explain their individual designs:
Cranchee: which was imagined by Strombone instead of Strombonin, explaining why it has marine and icy characteristics, while Strombonin is a land monster;
Pinghound: which were pet monsters of the Anglowes on their home planet, before taking refuge in Monster World;
Wheezel: who was imagined by Hyehehe based on the things seen by it in the Human World and its mentally crazy nature;
Knurv: which is the materialization of a local folklore legend of a village visited by Buzzinga in its interdimensional travels, explaining its tribal, indigenous, and ritualistic appearance and its bizarre way of playing its sound;
shLep: has several theories about the reason of its appearance in its bio, with the primary ones being that it is either a distorted representation of a Blubberfly brought about by an ocassional desire by the Cherubble for some personal time, or inspired by an encounter with another Monster from the Living Ocean's coral reefs.
The income of Dreamythicals at level 1 is a reference to the monster's release date.
Mythical Monsters are the only class of monsters with exactly two elements.
All Mythicals seem to be partially based on real-world animals.
G'joob is based on a walrus.
Strombonin is based on a pangolin.
The Strombone is based on a conch snail.
Yawstrich is based on an ostrich.
Anglow is based on a barreleye (despite being named after an anglerfish).
Hyehehe is based on a hyena.
Buzzinga is based on various arthropods, such as a firefly/lightning bug (depending on which term one uses), a fiddler crab, and a honey bee.
Cherubble is based on a nudibranch.
The Blubberflies are based on seahorses (despite being named after butterflies).
Cataliszt is based on a cat.
Bleatnik is based on an ibex.
Cranchee is based on a squid.
Sporerow is based on a frogmouth (despite being named after a sparrow).
Pinghound is based on various types of fish, such as a grouper, a tripodfish, and a sea toad, as well as a bulldog (despite being named after a hound).
Although Wheezel is more primarily based on a jack-in-the-box, it is also based on a barnacle (despite being named after a weasel).
Knurv can be interpreted as having simian characteristics and the antlers of a deer, but it is based on a wendigo (which is a mythological creature).
shLep is based on a tsetse fly.
G'joob and Yawstrich like the previously PS Vita exclusive Decorations, while the other Mythical Monsters also like the Creator Experience Decorations.
The PS Vita Decorations were referred to as the Mythical Decorations on the official My Singing Monsters Twitter account.
Interestingly, Hyehehe's Mystery Like was said to start with the letter 'T', and none of the Creator Experience Decorations fit that requirement, which made it the first Mythical Monster since the releases of G'joob and Yawstrich to not have a Creator Experience Decoration as a Mystery Like. It was then revealed to be Thumpies Totem.
G'joob and Yawstrich's non-Mystery Likes are all related to the Thumpieverse in some way, with the Wubbox Stockpile bearing sigils from the Thumpieverse and the Mountain Morsel and Thumpies Totem originating from said universe.
G'joob and Cherubble both share the same breeding time as well as their Dreamythicals, and the same goes to Yawstrich, Hyehehe, and their Dreamythicals respectively and Strombonin, Buzzinga, and their Dreamythicals respectively.
Coincidentally, Strombonin and Buzzinga were both results of the Make-A-Mythical community event.
None of the Single-Element Mythical Monsters are percussionists.
