Welcome! My name is Ms. Miranda and I am currently a third grade teacher. Ever since I was in high school, I knew that I wanted work with children, but I was not sure which profession to choose. I looked through my options and decided that my answer was right in front of me all along. I wanted to become an elementary school teacher! After tutoring elementary school students throughout my high school years, I learned that teaching children was something that I really enjoyed and I felt like I could I do this for many years to come. So, after I graduated from high school from Crossroad Academy Charter School, I pursued a degree in Elementary Education. Before I knew it, I graduated from Florida State University with my Master's degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in Child Development.
Now that I have been a teacher for two years, I can assure you that I made an excellent choice. I love my job! Although I have only been a teacher for two years, I had been actively working with children in a school setting for about eight years throughout high school and college so I have some prior experience. A fun fact about me is that I am bilingual since I speak both Spanish and English. Other fun facts about me are that I love to paint and that I have a pet cat named LIuvia which translates to Rain in English. Lastly, I want to leave you with my main goal as a teacher. My goal is to develop or nurture a love for learning in my students in a friendly classroom setting. This is my primary goal because once student loses that love for learning or motivation due to a negative experience with school the learning process becomes a lot more difficult for them.
