March 23: We have started to work on resumes in class. The students have been asked to bring two sample resumes from online; one example from a high school student level, with little job experience, and one example of an applicant for a job/field they are interested in. I have asked that they bring these two samples printed off to refer to as we build resumes in class.
Jan. 12: This week we started thinking about careers and future plans. The students need to create a "career collage" which will include pictures, buzz words, and ideas about their future careers/dream jobs. They may use magazines and newspapers, or they may print things out to include in the collage. This is due the week of January 26th.
