Ms. Masciana graduated with a Bachelors of Music from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. While at WCU, she pursued a double major in Music Education and Flute Performance, and a minor in Mathematics Education.
In 2005, she began teaching private music lessons out of her home as well as in various studios. When she graduated from WCU in 2013, she began her career as a certified teacher in Media, Pennsyvlania as a long term subsitute. In 2015, she moved down to North Carolina to teach in the Nash-Rocky Mount School District before transferring to the Wake County Public School System in 2016.
2019 was a big year for Ms. Masciana as not only did she become a certified Apple Teacher but a GRAMMY Music Educator Award Nominee as well!
Throughout her career, Ms. Masciana has taught a variety of concentrations including General Music (elementary and middle school), Music Theory, Chorus, Band, Orchestra, and Piano. She has also done a fair bit of tutoring for Mathematics.
Currently, Ms. Masciana lives in Fuquay Varina with her significant other, Edward, and their cat, Kaidence. During her free time, Ms. Masciana enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exploring technology, editing audio/video, and playing video games.
One of the things Ms. Masciana loves most about teaching is building connections with her students and helping them find their "aha!" moment.
