Hello and Welcome to the K-4 Resource Room!

My name is Miss. Martin and I have the amazing privilege of being your child's special education teacher this year! This year is going be a great one!

A Little About Me

I moved to Illinois from Arizona four years ago. I lived in Arizona since I was 3 years old. I loved the desert and the heat but I am loving the trees and the cooler weather. I have a year old puppy names Brock Lee (yes like the vegetable!) During my free time I love to make something new, bake some goodies, go on a hike or even read a good book.

I went to college at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I have my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University, as well as an LSB1 endorsement.

My Teaching Background and Philosophy

This is my fifth year teaching and I love it! I taught four years of third grade and half a year in first grade. As a teacher I love to laugh and get to know the kids, however I do set high expectations for my students. I strongly believe in and use positive reinforcement as a huge part of my classroom management system. All students are able to achieve anything they put their minds to.

I am so excited to have your child in my class and get to know you and your family!
