AP World History

AP World History is a class that will challenge students in ways they have likely not been challenged before. Even students whose work has historically been exemplary will need to learn new studying and reading habits to handle the increased work load. AP World History is not at the level of a regular advanced class, it is a college-level class whose students will be given an opportunity to receive college credits. Even if a student does not take the AP exam, the skills they will learn in their first year of AP will be invaluable throughout high school and beyond. As students experience the growing pains of starting AP for the first time, it is my goal to be a resource for students to help them in whatever ways they require. Tests will be difficult, but it should be noted that a B in an AP class is regarded much more highly by prospective colleges than a B in an on-level course, as colleges know the rigor that is expected in these courses and value students who challenge themselves academically. With each exam, students will always have a chance at some kind of retake or credit recovery with my assistance to aid in their ongoing learning up to a possible 100%.
