Dear Families,
It’s the final week of grade 3 and we made it! Thank you again for taking this incredible learning journey with me. It has been challenging, but also rewarding in many unexpected ways. I have often shared with people that this class has been one of the nicest classes I have ever had and I am truly sad to see them go. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and I hope to see you around next year!
Our final week of on-line learning includes several short, open-ended tasks with a summer movie theme. Pop some popcorn, choose a fun movie, and enjoy!
1. Movie Math Menu – calculate the amount you would spend on treats at the theatre.
2. Movie Writing Menu – watch a favourite movie together and answer the questions.
3. “Would You Rather” Summertime-themed conversation sheet – pick a topic and choose one option. Be prepared to support your choice. This may lead into in some interesting dinner conversations!
4. Join the BC Summer Reading Club through our local library.
Students who come to school for in-school learning on Tuesday will receive their report cards then. All other students will pick up their report cards at the school on Thursday between 9 AM -12 PM.
**If you are not able to pick up your child’s report card, please make arrangements to send another family member or friend.**
Our final Zoom Meeting will be on Tuesday at 11 AM. I will be ending the school year by presenting class certificates and showing pictures from the year.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lee
