Why I wanted to become a teacher?
I've known since I was in first grade that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. I loved school and learning. As I got older I saw what a difference teachers made in my life, and other students. I want to make a difference in our community, and I believe teaching and loving on our younger generation is the best way to do that. I'm excited to have your student in my class, and can't wait to watch and guide them as they learn and grow.
Where did I go to school?
I grew up in Poplar Bluff Missouri, and attended K-12 in the R1 school district. After high-school, I attended Three Rivers College, and received my AA in Education after two year. For my third year of college, I transferred to ASU and completed my bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
What should I do if my child is absent?
Contact the school to let them know your child will be absent. When your child returns back to school have them bring a doctors note if needed, or a written excuse. As far as missed work, students have acces to homework and content covered on the day they were gone. It is on the Homework page. Students have an extra two days to turn in work, if their absence was excused.

Upcoming events are sent out in the Newsletter and you can also check the announcement page for events.
How can I help my child in school?
I have provided many links for students to practice skills at home, as well as links for parents. You can access student links here and parent links here. You may also check their homework on the website homework page, and stay up to date about tutoring options on the schools page.
What is for lunch?
Students always have a cold and hot lunch option. They may also bring lunch from home. The school lunch menu goes out once a month, and the calendar is often included in the newsletter or on the announcement page.
What school supplies does my child need/does the classroom need?
A list of school supplies for your stents, along with a classroom needs list is given on the parent information page.
What is the technology policy?
Students will have access to technology within the classroom. They will be monitored and guided on how to safely use the internet. For more information on how to safely use the internet check out the digital citizenship page and our classroom AUP. I ask that you please do not send electronic devices with your students to school. They will not be allowed to use them in our classroom. If your child brings a phone to school it must stay in their backpack with volume off and they cannot have it out in class.
