I'm a huge advocate for Alzheimer's Awareness. When I was in Jr. High my Grandpa Jim was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, and he passed away in May of my Sophomore year of high-school. This caused him to slowly over time lose his memory, and become co-dependent. This was a hard time for my family, seeing him forget things he once knew. I want to share information about this disease, because it effects a lot of families. Students may have experienced someone they know, or who is in their family who suffers from the same disease, and I want them to know it's okay to talk about it! And watching someone go through this can be hard.
